Glaciers disappear at Yangtze River source

After five years of study, researchers are saying that glaciers at the Yangtze River's headwaters are melting more every year, and have receded by as much as 4,000 meters.
Green River Environmental-Protection Organization launched a program to observe and collect information about Jianggudiru Glaciers in five years jointly with the Chinese Academy of Science. They found that the maximum melting range of Jianggudiru Glaciers was over 1,200 meters in the last 40 years and that of Gangjiaquba Glaciers was over 4,000 meters.
Experts believe the insufficient of water supply and global warming are the main reasons behind this.
