1. Deep hole In Guatemala
On June 1, 2010, a hole more than 100 m opened up in the middle of a neighborhood in Guatemalan City.

2. Gas cave in Derweze
In 1971 geologists discovered a large underground cave filled with natural gas while drilling in the Turkmenistan village of Derweze. The ground beneath the drilling rig collapsed, leaving a large hole with a diameter of about 50-100 meters. To prevent poisonous gas from leaking out, it was decided to burn the gas, and the cave has been burning ever since.

3. Monticello Dam
The Monticello Damin is located in Napa County, California, the United States. It was constructed between 1953 and 1957. The dam is noted for spillway with a rate of about 1370 cubic meters per second and a diameter at the lip of 22 m.

4. Bingham Canyon Mine
The Bingham Canyon Mine, also known as the Kennecott Copper Mine, is located in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. The mine has been in production since 1906, and has resulted in a pit over 1.2 km deep, 4 km wide, and covering 7.7 square kilometers.

5. Great Blue Hole in Belize
The Great Blue Hole is located near the center of Lighthouse Reef, a small reef island about 100 kilometres from Belize City. It is a circular hole with a diameter of 305 metres and 123 metres deep. It was formed as a limestone cave during the glacial period.

6. Mirny Diamond Mine
The diamond mine is located in Mirny, eastern Siberia, Russia. It is 525 meters deep and has a diameter of about 1,200 meters.

7. The Diavik Diamond Mine
The Diavik Diamond Mine is a diamond mine located in northwest Canada.

8. Udachnaya Pipe
Udachnaya pipe is a diamond deposit in Russia. It was discovered on June 15, 1955 and about 500 meters deep.
